Everything about it was designed so that we could enjoy the natural light and surrounding environment. The air conditioning was very efficient and there was plenty of hot water. We could walk to a cafe and chocolate finca and also a small waterfall for bathing. The owners are very helpful and provided breakfast from their bird observatory which was a lovely 5 min walk away. It was by far the best hostel we’ve stayed in South America on our 3 month trip. The room was amazing and felt like a luxurious hotel (we were in the private bedroom with a balcony). We have started to dread the free hostel breakfasts on our trip but this one was amazing as it wasn’t buffet style, we could order off the menu. The food and drinks prices were really reasonable considering you couldn’t buy your food from anywhere else!
