Shar, the host is very friendly and helpful, mild mannered and good humoured. The food was incredible and cheap, he catered to our needs and was easy around planning if we'd like to eat there on a day-by-day basis with little fuss, he was always around for cups of tea/coffee or just hot water. Gave us directions to get filtered water to save plastic. The beautiful beach was only a short walk away as was the village. The location is almost right on Kizhunna beach which is clean, calm and so quiet. Staff are very friendly and helpful with organising things for us. There are no shops or cafes near, but the restaurant provides very delicious food and drink including beer. You can reach Kannur city by tuktuk, which has some great places for shopping and food.
