The hosts were wonderful, very friendly. They met us with playing music. Location is extraordinary, yes, you have to get there using a gravel road but it was worth the effort. Fantastic sky with no light pollution, glow worms, kiwis making sounds from the bush. The view from the deck is fantastic. We were farewelled with a Maori song.

Warm reception by host, perfect location, lovely rural and harbour views, spacious and superior facilities, great wood burner fire for the cool evening. Everything about this place is first rate and I highly recommend it to those travelling in this area and looking for a quiet, peaceful rural retreat in a historic NZ area. Even the chapel itself is a part of that history. We could almost feel the preence of those who worshipped here a century and more ago.
