Villas in Taihape

Location was lovely to look out of the windows on a frosty morning. Immaculately clean everywhere. Easy location to find.

Some reviewers have mentioned the driveway being long and narrow. These are fair comments; however, we had a large seven-seater vehicle and got down the driveway with no dramas. There is plenty of room to turn around at the house and comfortably drive back up the driveway. There was a reverse-cycle air conditioner to heat the house, plus additional heaters in each room. It was a cold night, but we were nice and warm inside. The beds were lovely and warm. I wish other places had pillows like the ones here. Like some other reviewers, I didn't read the instructions on how to get to this place. I drove to the front of the house, but the access is from the rear. When I did read the instructions, it was easy to get there. Tip: Read the instructions Jean sends you. This place was about what we expected and consequently was reasonable value for money. We would stay there again.

The property is beautiful, full of character, a working farm environment. Best of all dog friendly. Fresh eggs and milk was a wonderful touch.
