It was super clean, it was getting warm really quickly, within walking distance from the city center. Overall it was the best stay for a family with small kids. Also it had a few kids and adults book as well as a few toys. My kids really enjoyed playing with those.

Melfort Village is set in a lochside location, 24 km from Oban. Furnace is 23 km away. The units include a dining/seating area with a satellite flat-screen TV. We had a fabulous 5 night stay at Melfort village. The accommodation was very well equipped and they even offer extra equipment such as slow cookers. It's quiet and in a beautiful location. They called us the week before to make sure we brought everything we needed with us as the nearest supermarket is 30 minutes away in Oban. We also booked massages for our last day - highly recommended! I would recommend Melfort Village for a quiet, secluded, self catering break.

Around 13 miles from Oban, the luxurious Bonawe House Holiday Cottages offers apartment and cottage accomodation in the Scottish Highlands. The location was simply beautiful. It was at the end of the road, nestled amongst trees with views across fields, the loch and mountains. There were walks in all directions that were full of trees, animals, scenery, The property was very well appointed. Very clean. Comfortable bed. TV and DVD (with a huge selection) for any wet evenings. Excellent kitchen facilities. Lovely shower/bathroom. We came for a romantic anniversary visit and we were not disappointed. We will be back.
