Staying in this traditional old Japanese house was a fantastic experience. The accommodation featured four comfortable Western style single beds across two bedrooms, providing a refreshing change from the small hotel rooms we had been staying in. Having the entire house to ourselves complete with traditional dining room, two toilets and a private bathroom made our stay even more enjoyable. The host who lived in the front house was incredibly welcoming and spoke perfect English, which made everything even easier. The island itself is a wonderful place to visit and once the crowds leave, it becomes even more special as you get the chance to explore at your own pace and capture the stunning scenery in peace.

It was the perfect evening and stay for 4 tired cyclists!

A recently renovated property, 海月 うみづき is situated in Tomo near Irohamaru Exhibition Building, Ota House and Fukuzen-ji Temple. Very high end and beautifully designed old house facing the Harbour and very close to the light house. Genuinely an exquisite halt. The hostess waited for us to show the place ans speak an incredi le english . The old district of Tomo is charming. I highly recommend the stop.

We had an excellent time at Dai’s place. Not only did he greet us on the day of arrival, he also helped us with our plans for Hiroshima and Miyajima which was excellent advice! The accommodation was fantastic and had everything we needed. We were able to cook our own meal one night, with ease! We had everything we needed.

Kazu and Staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. They provided us with great recommendations of local restaurants/shops and activities. Very clean with great sea view. Comes with a free parking space which is a bonus.

Beautiful traditional japanese house located in the heart of Onomichi, loved every minuted we've stayed there. The house inside was very clean & modern and had everything you need in an accommodation, while still retaining the charm of an traditional house. Location is perfect with many restaurants, bars, shops nearby at the shopping arcade down below, 10 minutes by foot to the train station. Check-In was done via key code and communication with the owner was quick, friendly and helpful.
