The winter scenery was stunning with sunset on the frozen river. Location is great, very close to Umeå, yet already quite wild with immediate access to the river and the forest with several Nordic ski trails. The house is tiny but comfy with all you need for a short stay. The landlord lives in the house next to it, very friendly.

We stayed during the summer and really enjoyed sitting and eating on the wooden porch. The toilet is an "utedass" (outdoor toilet), but in a modern and well-maintained version. Drinking water and water for washing dishes are provided in 5- and 10-liter plastic containers. There are animals in the yard (chickens, roosters, dogs, and horses), but they are calm and don’t disturb at all. The air is fresh and clean, and the surrounding forest adds to the peaceful atmosphere. The experience was very nice and authentic. The host was very kind and helpful. We would definitely recommend this place!

"The Studio" was impeccably clean and modernly furnished, providing everything we could have asked for and more. It completely met our needs. The owner was easily reachable by phone, incredibly friendly, and made the whole experience seamless. If you're looking for a comfortable, well-equipped, and hassle-free stay near Skellefteå, I can't recommend "The Studio" highly enough. It's an absolute gem and a testament to Swedish hospitality. A definite must-stay!
