We loved our room at Hawthorn! It was clean, comfortable and close to town. We enjoyed our short walk to town each day. Joe checked in with us before we arrived and while we were there to make sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again!!!

The breakfast was cereal and this was ok. It was not expected. The room itself was exceptional in presentation, space and comfort. There were no staff on site and there was no need for any.

The B&B was located on a hill overlooking the town and the sea, the view was stunning. The room was spotless, plenty of hot water and fluffy towels. We had two comfy chairs overlooking our own little bit of the garden, very private. Our breakfast was plentiful and made to order, lots of choice too. There were a couple of different sitting rooms and areas where you could sit and watch the view with a drink from the bar. The whole setting was lovely, relaxing and had a good feeling to it. We had a great chat with Gary at breakfast, such a laugh, thanks for a fabulous stay, we hope to come back.

Great location, handy to have parking, staff were friendly and the self check-in and out facilities suited our trip perfectly. Room was a decent size and it had a great power shower! There was a fan in one of our rooms and luckily we brought another one with us. Could be loud at night with vans passing by, if that bothers you book a room at the back of the house

We absolutely loved our stay! Aisling was a great host and our room was SO comfortable! Dunquin pier is a short walk from the accommodation too so we did that the afternoon we got there, after doing the Ring of Kerry drive. Such a perfect day ending with a perfect stay - so so special!

Geraldine was a friendly and helpful host .The breakfast was freshly cooked and very delicious with lots of different options on the menu. Bedrooms very spotlessly clean with lots of hot water, the rooms are very quiet so we had a great nights sleep. An Portán guest house is in a great location with beautiful scenery all around and walking distance to the Blasket visitor center and Dunquin pier and directly across the road from a bar which serves food.
