The host, Gemma, was really kind and felxible. It was allowed to have an early check-in without additional fee. After check-out we were allowed to leave our bags on the reception for the rest of the day.
The room was clean and nice. The location is absolute best, there are restaurants, bars, bakeries, and gelato nearby. Easy access to the building. Most of the "must see" places are 10-25 mins away by walk. Termini train and bus station is 6-8 mins.

Great location, very clean. Jug, cups, coffee provided was appreciated. Cold drinks available to purchase was excellent on such very hot days. Nice toiletries in bathroom. Staff friendly. Voucher for breakfast at local cafe each morning was a lovely start to the day.

Great location for us in a quieter area but still just an easy walk to the train station and the city center highlights. A lovely area with plenty of restaurants and shops but not as busy as the main tourist are. The apartment building is set behind high security gates with a number of other apartment buildings. The apartment was on the 6th floor with a small elevator for access. Our room was a standard hotel size with a spacious bathroom and a fridge which we appreciated. The apartment was very clean and the hosts were lovely and accommodating of our small dog. Breakfast was a choice of items, including boiled eggs, salami and cheeses and whatever coffee we chose, that was delivered to our room when we were ready each morning. The air conditioner worked very well. We very much enjoyed our stay. A suggestion would be to provide a list of items available for breakfast as we had no way of knowing what the options were and our Italian is terrible. We simply didn't know what to ask for and it would avoid mistakes such as our coffees changing mid week. Small idea but makes things much easier for everyone.

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Great location - close to Metro and many buses to go dowontown
Paolo is amazing and was a great host. Sharing tips and restaurants. Very charming and you feel at home from the first minute

Welcoming host
Great location - quiet courtyard, so great for a peaceful night’s sleep, and close to the train station and Santa Maria Maggiore basilica. Very good selection of restaurants, bars, cafes and supermarkets close by. The apartment is compact with everything you could need - including a washing machine. It was comfortable and very well kept and clean. Marga is a great host, very responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
Great host met me on arrival and waited for me despite my flight being delayed. Lovely apartment, great location in a quieter more residential area which was perfect. Tram stop 10 mins walk away and great access to local shops a few blocks down.
Great host, salvatore was very friendly and gave us great recommendations for restaurants etc. Great location if you want to stay somewhere slightly quieter, it’s easy to get into the city if you don’t mind walking plus lots of great restaurants and other sights around. Would stay again!
Great host, checking in every couple days to make sure everything was OK. Instructions to get in were very clear. The apartment is big and comfortable, very spacey. Bonus point for washing machine. Great location in a quiet neighborhood close enough to the subway, making it super accessible.
Great host, great location, great value for money! Thank you for all the help and hospitality Aysha, it was a pleasure to stay at your guesthouse :)
I definitely recommend the Stella Guest House for anyone visiting Rome on a fair budget.
The guesthouse is located in a beautifual and quiet neighbourhood near the Appia Antica Park and well connected to the city center. The room was clean and nicely furnished and Audrey and Maurizio have been amazing hosts who have spared no effort in making my stay enjoyable, recommending beautiful places to visit in Rome, and providing some snacks, coffee and tea in the kitchen. The price is also very reasonable, given the level of comfort provided and the great location of the place!
