About this property
The Hôtel Masson is nestled in a quiet, leafy setting, and offers the experience of a charming, timeless stay in Montreux. An authentic Belle Epoque-style hotel with all modern comforts. It is located just a 5-minute walk from Chillon Castle. Overlooking Lake Geneva, the elegant and splendid building with its wisteria-covered balconies dates back to 1829 and is surrounded by a large garden with century-old trees. It is the oldest hotel in the region and a proud member of Swiss Historic Hotels. Its interior reflects the timeless elegance of bygone days. It features lounges furnished with original paintings and furniture dating back to the 19th century. A shaft of light floods the opulent granite staircase, and the oak parquet flooring adds to the Masson's nostalgic atmosphere. The charming rooms are unique, with picturesque furnishings and floral motifs. They are equipped with contemporary amenities, including a bathroom renovated in 2024, cable TV, Wi-Fi and a minibar. Some have a magnificent balcony overlooking the lake. The dining room features a large tiled stove and original Viennese chairs. Classic international cuisine is served in the evenings and most ingredients are sourced from local markets. A charming and elegant bar with a terrace overlooking the garden, the lake and the Swiss and French Alps, gives you the opportunity to relax from morning to night. The Hôtel Masson also has a small spa with a sauna. You can also relax on the sun loungers in the garden while admiring the view of the Alps and Lake Geneva. Veytaux-Chillon train station is just 250 metres from the Hôtel Masson. Private parking is available on site.
