Acropolis
Long before it became known as Bloomfield Falls, this magnificent waterfall was called Wujal Wujal by the indigenous Kuku Yalanji people. Hire a guide and learn why these people still consider Wujal Wujal to be sacred. Or just head down with your 4x4 and a picnic hamper, and have lunch in serious style!

Very expensive and absolutely heaving with tourists, long queues for tickets and then more queuing to get in. There is a lot building and renovation going on too which wasn't great with scaffolding spoiling the photos. Woudlnt recommend

Coming early is key.
Coming early is key. I visited in March (winter season) and by 10 am, there was already a crowd inside of the Acropolis, at the only path to the Parthenon. Fortunately the crowd was not large, but I'd say it was a bit large for this time of the year. As for the toilets, they are outside of the sight, and once you leave the sight, there's no re-entering it with the same ticket. So make sure to go to the toilet before entering the sight.

Magnificent. Go as early as you can to avoid the crowds.
Magnificent. Go as early as you can to avoid the crowds. Hat, comfy shoes, and water are necessary. I went once around the spring festival and it was amazing. Everyone with flowers in their hair and celebrations everywhere. Visit the fabulous new museum after you have been to the Acropolis.

No trip to Athens would be complete without visiting the Acropolis, and it certainly lived up to the hype. Standing in front of the Parthenon, surrounded by ancient ruins, was a humbling experience. The view of the city from atop the hill is breathtaking, and it’s easy to imagine the grandeur of ancient Athens.

We stayed as a group of friends 3 nights before a cruise and one night after and found Acropolis Vision an excellent choice. All staff were really friendly and helpful and the rooftop bar was excellent with great views. It was a short walk to loads of bars and restaurants and a 2 minute walk to nearest train station. Hotel room was lovely and quiet for being right in the centre of Athens. Hotel also arranged taxis for us from airport and we then used same taxi for the rest of our trip. Would highly recommend this hotel
Great location — 5 mins to the metro, direct line to the Acropolis. The apartment is spacious, clean, in calm colors, nice to be in. Quiet A/C in every room (very appreciated in Athens). Kitchen has everything, nothing was missing. Beds were comfortable. Quiet street, easy to find, self check-in worked without problems. Towels, sheets, shampoo, toilet paper — all provided. Everything went smoothly. Thanks to the host!
The apartment was in a fantastic spot in Athens with many shops, restaurants and cafes within short walking distance. It was very close to the beautiful acropolis. I felt very safe staying in this area. The apartment itself was spacious and comfortable with big beds and air conditioning. The washing machine was useful. The host was very easy to communicate with and the check in and out process was simple.
ACROPOLIS SKYROOM is all about LOCATION! You can see the Acropolis from the apartment and it is indeed a very spectacular view. Psyri, Monastiraki, Plaka and Anafiotika are all on your doorstep and within very easy walking distance. This neat and comfortable apartment is the perfect base from which to explore the many landmarks that Athens has to offer on foot and we enjoyed our stay thoroughly.
The hotel is very centrally located in Athens, which is a major advantage for exploring the city. It's within walking distance of several important landmarks, including the Acropolis, the acropolis museum, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Plaka and the Panthenaic Stadium (Kallimarmaro). The hotel staff was very responsive and friendly. their kindness were much appreciated and made a real difference to our overall experience.
Big thanks to Maria and Michalis, two lovely receptionists, always helpful and friendly.
The hotel is situated right in the center of Athens, near metro and bus stations. 30 min walk to the Acropolis.
The apartment itself and the shower room are very spacious.Large enough balcony. So liked the roof terrace overlooking the acropolis, where you can enjoy the beautiful view in the evening with a Greek wine (if you’ll get some in advance😉)The guys are very friendly and helped on WhatsApp on any issue, even with recommendations(specially cause it was my first time in Athens).
The location is great to everything you need in the old town
Apartment very comfortable, well located and close to the main sites, especially around Acropolis. The host support was also great with relevant information and always available. Lots of restaurants around the corner gives you the chance to have dinner after a long walking day . A short breakfast at the apartment main entrance is ok and saves you time to start the day .... very pleasant staying in Athens
The location is good, 3 mins' walk to the metro station.
The flat on the top floor has unique views. When sitting in the hot tub, lying on the bed, or standing in the terrace, you can see the Acropolis. Also can enjoy the sunrise and the sunset from the terrace.
The owner's service is very good, answering my questions and requests very fast.
The maid lady comes every day to clean the room, just like a hotel, better than usual apartments.
The apartment is equipped for everything you need for a short time visit in Athens, including a washing machine. They have a very nice robe as well that you can wear after taking a shower. It's a short walk to restaurants and shops, as well as to acropolis. They have an Italian restaurant in level 6 from 5 to midnight. Nice breakfast too. And thank you kindly for giving us our breakfast the night before our check-out because we have to leave the hotel early in the morning 🙂

Go beyond the Acropolis and explore the Agora and Kerameikos, imagining yourself entering Athens along the road from the port of Piraeus, and following the Panathenaic Way to the Akropolis. Stop at the museums along the way to understand the significance of each site. Then visit the National Archaeological Museum to see that classical Athens is just one of Greece's many magnificent cultures.

If you want to avoid crowds while seeing the famous sights, start out early and be at the sights when they open. I arrived at the Acropolis around 8:10 AM and there were only around 20 people on the whole compound. It was wonderful! There was a crowd climbing the hill when I descended, though!

Consider visiting Athens in May or September.
Consider visiting Athens in May or September. May is just lovely. Spring flowers like poppies and daisies cover the hills. It's not too busy and not too hot. Remember that on holidays you are always moving so consider the weather when you make your plans. Also, research opening hours as the Acropolis is closed May 1; and other Ancient Landmarks are closed on certain days and on certain hours any other day.
