She showed us around the ryokan. It was clean, warm, comfortable. The beds were like sleeping on clouds. The rooms were clean and it was wonderful sleeping in a traditional Japanese house. The shower was hot and powerful. The ryokan is located on a pretty road (Nakamachi Dori) with lots of interesting shops and restaurants. One of our favourite stays on this trip.

The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. Traditional ryokan, very clean, calm and near Matsumoto castle. Personnel was very nice and helpfull.

Do yourself a favor and go to this wonderful place. Everything was perfect cause the hosts know how to take care of their customers. Amazing experience

Everything. Keiko San and his wife are very kind and friendly hosts, the food they prepare is delicious, the property is delightfully characterful with private onsen facilities, and in a magical forest setting looking on to its own waterfall. Keiko San very kindly picked us up from Nagiso station (and dropped us back there when we left), and took us to Magome and back from Tsumago on the day we walked the Nakasendo trail. He and his wife are great hosts.

The hotel owner even followed us all the way to the convenience store after we had checked out just to give us additional information about our transportation to our next destination.

Everything was explained clearly and we get to choose the yukata with our size. The rooms are tatami style with a super comfortable futon. The food was a set of Japanese dishes that is really good and the onsen was awesome. Overall we love the authentic japanese ryokan experience.
